A
"Tournament" is a contest in which all players start
with an equal amount of chips and continue to play until one
player remains and accumulates all the chips. (Blinds/antes
are raised consistently throughout the tournament and more
than one place may be paid.)
-
All
one-table Tournaments are freeze-outs (no re-buys).
-
Tournaments will begin within seconds after all Players are
seated.
-
The Player who draws the high-card will start with the button
in the Games Hold'em and Omaha prior to the start of the Tournament.
In case two Players get the same high-card, the suit preference
of spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs will determine who starts
with the button.
-
The Tournament will continue until one Player wins all the
chips.
-
When a Player loses all his/her chips, they are eliminated
from play.
-
In "Limit Tournaments" (Limit tournaments are those
which have a prescribed amount of betting at each level.),
one bet, and three raises, are permitted. When only two Players
remain, there is no limit on raises. No Player will miss any
"Blind". A "blind" is a fixed amount of
money, determined by the size of the game, that is put into
the pot in Hold'em and Omaha games prior to the dealing of
the hand. The purpose of the "blind(s)" is to initiate
action.
-
It will be possible for a hand to have only one blind - the
"Big Blind", with no "Small Blind". The
Small Blind is the lesser of the two blinds and it's used
in most Hold'em and Omaha games. The Small Blind is placed
into the pot by the player immediately to the left of the
dealer button.
-
Players may inherit the button for more than one hand (the
"Dead Button"). This is necessary to ensure all
Players take all Blinds.
-
If two or more Players are eliminated on the same hand, the
Player(s) who started the hand with the most money will get
the higher finishing position. If they begin the hand with
the same amount of money, they will equally divide any prize
money due them.
-
When two Players remain, the Player due to assume the Big
Blind will do so, and the Small Blind will inherit the button.
The Small Blind or button will act first prior to the flop
and second after the flop.
-
There are no breaks during our Tournaments. The Tournament
will continue until there is a winner. If a Player needs to
be away from the table, he or she should click on the "autopost
and fold" button located on the left side of the screen
as a courtesy to the other Players.
-
The prize payoffs will be exactly according to the pay-out
structure (the "Pay-Out Structure") and there will
be no deals.
-
Poker etiquette
("Etiquette") is expected from all Players.
Those abusing proper Etiquette may be asked by Texas-Hold-em-poker.biz
Personnel to leave the Tournament and/or to stop playing at
Texas-Hold-em-poker.biz.
-
There should be no soft-playing during Tournaments. Soft playing
is to not bet your hand to the fullest extent when playing
against someone (usually friends and/or family). It goes against
the spirit of the game and is considered cheating in some
instances.
-
If for any reason a Player loses his/her connection, play
will continue. In Tournament play, blinds and antes will continue
to be posted automatically. Please log back on as soon as
possible and continue play. Players will be blinded/anteed
out of the Tournament if they do not reconnect.
-
Players must accept the risk of disconnection since they can
and do occur. To limit the potential of disconnection, please
consult with your ISP as to what measures can be initiated
to help reduce this risk. At no time will Texas-Hold-em-poker.biz
assume responsibility for disconnected players regardless
of cause.
-
Texas-Hold-em-poker.biz reserves the right to alter this rules and
render final decisions on all matters herein at its sole discretion.
Rules changes and relevant decisions will be communicated
accordingly via Texas-Hold-em-poker.biz via electronic and/or written
means,If a Player is disconnected during the play of a hand,
he or she shall be deemed All-in and can win whatever is in
the pot at the time of the disconnect. If a Player is disconnected
while playing and uses an All-in, the All-in button should
be re-set upon the Player's return or the Player will be automatically
folded next time rather than deemed to be All-in.
-
Players are allowed two All-ins per Tournament due to a disconnection
problem. To re-set the All-in button or to check the All-ins
remaining, a Player must go to the lobby, click "options"
(located in upper left hand corner of the screen), and then
click the appropriate tab. Players have a maximum limit of
ten All-ins per week.
-
The disconnection Rules protect the Players from someone intentionally
logging off and seeking All-in protection during the play
of a hand.
-
Texas-Hold-em-poker.biz reserves the right cancel or reschedule Tournaments
at any time. If a Tournament is cancelled do to technical
issues, any Player who was eliminated prior to this time will
lose their buy-in and entry fee. The remaining Players will
be refunded their Buy-ins and entry fees and will equally
divide up the Buy-in monies from the Players already eliminated,
regardless of the chip standing when the server went down.
